The Process
What Happens After You Book
From demo to playing your first song — here's the exact path
1
You book the free demo 🎸
Pick a date and time that works for you. I'll confirm within a few hours. No payment, no commitment.
2
We meet 1-on-1 online 💻
30-minute Google Meet session. I assess your level, understand your goals, and we figure out exactly where to start.
3
You get a personalised roadmap 📍
Based on your demo, I build a custom plan — which phases to focus on, what to practice daily, and a clear target for your first milestone.
4
Lessons start — real progress begins ⚡
2–3 sessions per week. Every session recorded. Graded every 2 weeks. You always know exactly what to practice and why.
5
You actually sound good 🎶
Most students play their first full song within 4–6 weeks. No more guessing. No more wasted practice time. Just real, measurable improvement.
The Path
How Lessons Are Structured
Every student moves through the same three phases — just at their own pace, with a roadmap built around them.
🌱
Beginner — FoundationsPosture, chords, rhythm, and reading tab from zero. We start with real (simple) songs early so it never feels like homework — by the end you're playing full songs cleanly, not just exercises.
🎯
Intermediate — Technique & StyleBarre chords, fingerstyle, scales, and your first taste of improvisation. Lessons start leaning into the genres and artists you actually want to play, not a generic syllabus.
🔥
Advanced — Speed, Precision & VoiceAlternate picking, sweep picking, advanced theory, and full solo transcriptions. This is where you stop sounding like a student and start sounding like yourself.
Every phase is broken into sub-levels tracked right in your student dashboard, so you always know exactly where you stand and what's next — no guessing.
My Approach
Teaching Philosophy
A few things I actually believe about learning guitar, not just marketing copy.
🎵
Real Songs From Day Onenot just scales and drills on their own
📐
Structure Without Rigiditya clear plan that still adapts to you
🔁
Consistency Over Intensityshort, focused practice beats rare marathons
🧠
Understand, Don't Memorizethe "why" behind every technique
I learned guitar the hard way, mostly self-taught, with no roadmap and a lot of wasted time. That's exactly why my lessons are built the way they are: enough structure that you never wonder what to practice next, and enough flexibility that it still feels like learning music, not following a checklist.

Why Your Student Dashboard Matters
Most students don't quit because the lessons are bad. They quit because the days between lessons feel like a blank page, nothing to check, nothing to aim for, no sense of moving forward.
Your dashboard fixes that. It's the one place that turns practice into something you can actually see: XP that goes up every time you show up, a streak that makes skipping a day feel like a loss, and a leaderboard that keeps you a little competitive with yourself and everyone else on it. It's not a gimmick bolted onto lessons, it's what keeps you coming back to the guitar on the days I'm not there.

FAQ
Common Questions
Do I need experience to start? +
Not at all. The beginner phase is built for absolute zero experience — we start from scratch and make sure your fundamentals are solid before moving forward.
What does the demo session include? +
The demo is a free 1-on-1 session where we assess your current level, talk about your goals, and build a personalized roadmap. No payment needed, no pressure at all.
How long are lessons and how often? +
Each lesson is 45–60 minutes. Most students train 2–3 times a week for best results. We adjust based on your schedule and goals.
What if I miss a session? +
Since it's private 1-on-1, just let me know in advance and we'll reschedule. No session goes to waste.
What guitar do I need? +
Any acoustic or electric guitar works fine to start. I'll guide you if you're looking to upgrade or pick the right one for your style.
Are lessons online or in person? +
All lessons are fully online via Zoom or Google Meet — join from anywhere in the world. All you need is a guitar and stable internet.
How much do lessons cost? +
Pricing depends on your goals and how often you want to train, so it's easiest to talk through after your free demo — no pressure, no surprise charges.
I'm in a different timezone, does that work? +
Yes. Students join from all over the world, and scheduling is built around your timezone, not mine.
How do you track my progress? +
You get your own student dashboard: a personalized roadmap, session history, XP and streaks, focus drills, and a song tracker so you always know exactly what you're working on and what's next.
Do you teach kids? +
Lessons are open to students of all ages. For younger students, we recommend a parent or guardian stay involved in booking and communication.
The Instructor
About Me
OKPHX is an online 1-on-1 guitar teaching studio run by me, a guitarist based in Mumbai. I started playing at 11, got my first acoustic on my birthday, and that moment changed everything.
Since then I've been obsessed with understanding guitar, not just playing songs. That same obsession is behind the covers and lessons I share on Instagram, from Latin runs to full shred.
But learning on my own wasn't easy. There was no roadmap, no structure, and a lot of wasted time.
That's exactly why I teach the way I do. I made the mistakes so you don't have to.
Today I teach students worldwide through live, personalized lessons built around real goals, real songs, and steady progress, not one-size-fits-all courses. Every lesson is built around you: your goals, your pace, your style.
